About the Role

Janus Henderson is seeking a Research Analyst – European Equities to conduct in-depth investment analysis of specific sectors and securities, supporting portfolio managers with data, reports, and investment recommendations. The role requires equity research experience, preferably in European Equities (buy-side or sell-side).

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent sector and securities analysis (including quantitative models).
• Undertake research visits and meetings with companies, analysts, and industry participants.
• Provide buy, sell, and hold recommendations to portfolio managers.
• Support the European Equities team with portfolio data, risk analysis, and fund metrics.
• Assist in preparing investment reports, client queries, and presentations.
• Contribute to investment commentaries (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual).
• Perform additional research and analytical duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

• Direct equity analyst experience, preferably in European Equities.
• IMC/CFA qualification (or working toward it).
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of ESG factors for investing in European Equities.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Language skills relevant to covered geographies.
