Dr Chiedozie Godian Ike. Director, Research Ethics, Integrity and Public Health.

Dr Chiedozie Godian Ike is a senior Public Health Physician and bioethicist. He lectures in public health and bioethics at a University in Nigeria. He is enthusiastic about promoting advanced knowledge in the operations of research ethics committees, integrity in medical research and healthcare and how to effectively teach bioethics and research integrity to students and clinical researchers using innovative learning tools and the virtues ethics approach. He is the author of The Virtue Clock, a visual representation of professional values in science and a co-inventor of a virtual research clinic for African researchers.

In Public Health and Medicine, Dr. Ike is a Head of Department at a federal health Institution In Nigeria and a Fellow of two distinguished Institutions: the West African College of Physicians and the Royal Society for Public Health.

Chiedozie is an associate member of the Royal College
of Physicians. Chiedozie holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of Benin, Nigeria. He is in his final year at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where he studies MSc Clinical trials. Passionate about research ethics and integrity, he was educated in bioethics at local and international institutions and achieved some recognition. He is a 2016 Western IRB Fellow, a certified IRB Professional (CIP), and a certified research integrity and Ethics trainer. Dr. Ike holds two diplomas in research ethics and a certificate as a teacher of medical ethics. He is an active African Research Integrity Network (ARIN) member. Chiedozie is a consultant to his institution & research ethics committee, where he doubles as the pioneer head of the Office of Research Integrity and Compliance. He is a full member of the Chartered Nigerian Institute of
Management.
